About Chiara Onida
Chiara Onida is an Italian designer based in London. Her practise explores an innovative approach to materials and production techniques, emphasising both functional and narrative outcomes.
In 2011 she co-founded Breaking the Mould, a project that pairs experimental approaches with traditional Venetian glass making techniques to outline new scenarios for the future of glass craftsmanship.
In 2017 Chiara was nominated as an Ambassador for the International Italian Design Day to represent Italian design abroad.
Her personal work was shown at the Triennale Design Museum, Milan; MUDEC, Milan; Design Museum Holon; MAXXI in Rome; Telefonica, Madrid; Shanghai Museum of Glass, Shanghai; MAK Museum in Vienna; Somerset House and the ARAM Gallery in London amongst the others.
