The studio

The studio explores an innovative approach to materials and production techniques, emphasising both functional and narrative outcomes.

The outcomes range from spontaneous explorations to bespoke commission and collaborative projects.

The studio work was shown at the Triennale Design Museum, Milan; Space 10 in Copenhagen; laRinascente Rome; MUDEC, Milan; Design Museum Holon; MAXXI in Rome; Telefonica, Madrid; Shanghai Museum of Glass, Shanghai; MAK Museum in Vienna; Somerset House and the ARAM Gallery in London amongst the others.

About Chiara Onida

Chiara Onida is a London based Italian designer. She consults for the design industry at large, exploring materials and processes, trends, contexts and future behaviours.

In 2011 she co-founded Breaking the Mould, a project that pairs experimental approaches with traditional Venetian glass making techniques to outline new scenarios for the future of glass craftsmanship.

In 2017 Chiara was nominated as an Ambassador for the International Italian Design Day to represent Italian design abroad.
